Here are some of our favourite local and online resources.
Please share yours with us!

La Leche League Canada For over 50 years, LLLC has been a wonderful place to get support with breastfeeding. Join a group, get up-to-date information, attend events and meet other moms.

Nourri-Source Another breastfeeding support group that enlists the help of volunteer women (called support mothers) who are breastfeeding or have breastfed to help women in the breastfeeding experience.

Maisons de naissance

Hospitals are not the only place where women can give birth. Montreal has three maisons de naissance – birthing centres – that are run by midwives. The midwives at the following birthing centres can also deliver babies at home, if you prefer. Please note that midwifery care is for those wanting a natural and unmedicated birth. As space is very limited, it is strongly suggested that you call very early on in your pregnancy.

Cloth Diapers

AppleCheeks These are not your grandmother’s cloth diapers! Fabulously designed and manufactured here, in Montreal, Quebec.

BébéAuric – Diaper Service Want to use cloth diapers but let someone else do the laundry? BébéAuric delivers clean cloth diapers to your door weekly. Less work for you and it’s better for the environment.

Bummis Lots of great diapering products, including my favourites: the Swimmi and the Potty Pant.

Câlins et popotin There are over 20 brands of cloth diapers featured at their two locations. So many, they give tutorials so you can see them up close and choose the right one for your baby’s bottom!

Bummis A great online store to find everything from baby carriers to bottles.

Melons and Clementines The one stop shop for all your breastfeeding needs. And they have a café and cheerful play area for older babes.

Kido Bedding, high chairs, furniture, strollers, bottles, bags and bibs. You name it, they’ve got it!

Les anges du dodo Everything you need to get little one to sleep.

Câlins et popotin Looking for the latest models of strollers, car seats, baby carriers, cloth diapers, toys and more? So many great products to choose from – you’ll want another baby just to shop here.

Café and Classes

La Tasse gamine A vegetarian family café, activity centre and eco-boutique in Mile End. A great way to spend an afternoon with the kids.

Enfant et compagnie They offer classes, birthday parties, camps and daycare, and a lot more.

Vivian Doan Photography Vivian is one of our dear sponsors. Check out the great gift certificates she is offering when you take one of our Special Packages. You’ll spend some lovely time with Vivian and you’ll have beautiful pictures afterward.

Espace Mukti Yoga studio offering prenatal yoga classes.

Studio Bump New mom Christine is amazingly fit and offers prenatal and postnatal fitness classes in various locations around Montreal. I’m proud to be her go-to doula for private prenatal classes and doula services!

Cardio Stroller Classes I loved my cardio stroller classes! They offer them in many locations around Montreal and they are a great way to meet other moms in your neighbourhood.

Alternative Practitioners

Valerie Lavigne, Chiropractor and Lactation Consultant Dr Lavigne is a very experienced chiropractor. She also is trained in the Webster technique which can help in turning breech babies.

Clinique SinoCare I often recommend that clients see an acupuncturist to treat various ailments ranging from heartburn to allergies, as well as prepare for their birth.

Gayet et associés, Osteopaths It’s not uncommon for you and baby to need a treatment after going through birth. Your body and your baby go through so much, that a little adjustment may make all the difference.

Babymoon Resources

BonCBon Another one of our cherished sponsors, BonCBon, provides scrumptious and nutritious meals to your door. Dedicated to helping families, they are offering a $100 gift certificate when you purchase one of our Special Packages.

Seva Wellness Did you experience a traumatic birth and are now feeling anxious and afraid of going through the process again?  My friend Veronica offers one-on-one birth healing and trauma workshops to enable you to heal and move forward. She is also trained in reflexology and works with pregnant women in their 3rd trimester to make those aches and pains go away.

NDG Therapy If you are suffering from perinatal loss or postpartum depression, I highly recommend Rosa Caporicci. She offers one-on-one sessions as well as group therapy sessions. Having the right support is key to your postpartum health and healing.

Spinning babies A great site that explains optimal fetal positioning for an easier birth. And who doesn’t want an easier birth?

La Place 0-5 Looking for daycare for your baby? Get your name on this centralized list as soon as possible. The earlier the better.

Creative Body Casting Want to have a cast made of your gorgeous belly? A wonderful family keepsake.

Products That I Love (no one is paying me to say so!)

Mabel’s Labels I love these labels! Great for kids’ clothes, sippy cups, household items, etc.

Green Beaver A great Canadian natural personal care product company that uses almost all Canadian derived ingredients in their products. Their products, such as shampoos, body wash, creams and sun screen, are& 100% natural, biodegradable, vegan and gluten-free. And they are not tested on animals.
